2025 Martin House Fundraising Challenge
Linley and Simpson 2025 Martin House Fundraising Challenge
Linley and Simpson is launching an epic 2025 fundraising campaign for Martin House Children's Hospice. The Yorkshire-based letting and estate agents have been raising vital funds for the Wetherby-based charity since 2015, raising an incredible £220,000 so far!
Partnering with Martin House is an honour for Linley and Simpson, as they champion the hospice’s vital mission: providing children and young people with life-limiting conditions—and their families—with the highest quality of care. This includes helping them live fully, offering exceptional end-of-life care, and providing compassionate support to families during bereavement.
The Build: A £21.9 Million Transformation
This year, Martin House has launched The Build, a project set to transform the hospice for the future:
“We are Yorkshire’s centre of excellence in paediatric palliative care – supporting children and young people with life-shortening conditions along with their families. Advances in medicine means children and young people with complex, life-shortening conditions are living for longer and with more advanced needs. Therefore, our building needs to adapt and change to meet these needs.
THE BUILD is a £21.9 million pound project, which will transform the current building. Our vision is to create a purpose-built space with new and improved facilities. It will ensure that whether a family is visiting for respite or end-of-life care, we can keep providing tailored, specialist care, future-proofing the hospice and helping families across Yorkshire for many more years to come.”
Over the next 18 months, they are calling on supporters to help raise £2 million towards this ambitious goal.
A Decade of Dedication – and a 25-Branch Relay!
In recent years, Linley and Simpson staff have tackled the National Three Peaks, Hadrians Wall, abseiling down the Cow and Calf, as well as many other local fundraising events over the years.
To celebrate 10 years of partnership with Martin House in 2025, Linley and Simpson is launching a 25-branch relay challenge! This ambitious event will span over 300 miles, with teams traveling across Yorkshire by bike, on foot, and in walking relays—mirroring Martin House’s impact across the county.
The route will begin at Martin House Hospice in Wetherby and head north through Harrogate, Ripon, and York before traveling east to Hull, south to Sheffield, and west to Holmfirth. It will continue through North Leeds, along the canal to Bingley, and include stops at Dale Eddison branches in Skipton, Ilkley, and Otley. The final leg will return to Linley and Simpson’s Headquarters in Horsforth before concluding at Martin House in Wetherby.
This six-day challenge will pass some of Yorkshire’s most iconic landmarks, including Ilkley Moor, the Humber Bridge, and the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Designed to be inclusive, the relay will involve staff from every branch, regardless of fitness level, alongside Martin House staff and families, making it a truly collaborative and inspiring event.
