International Women's Day

This International Women's Day, we're thrilled to share the inspiring journey of our Sheffield Branch Manager, Kelly Boot. Her knowledge, passion and dedication to her work continue to empower and inspire us daily. 

What inspired you to pursue a career in the property industry?  

"I've loved property from a young age, helping my father renovate and resell homes." 

How has your role evolved since you first started?  

"After working in property lettings for six months, I was promoted to a Valuer and then became a Manager, which I have done for the last fifteen years." 

Have you faced any challenges in the property industry? How did you overcome them?

"Dealing with industry changes is the biggest challenge. However, I've dealt with this by finding out all the changes before they happen so I can advise our clients." 

What achievement are you most proud of in your career?  

"Buying a house at an Auction and being asked to go on Homes under the Hammer was a pleasure, as the producers said I would be a natural presenter!" 

Can you share a moment where you felt like you were making a real impact?  

"I've had a few apprentices work for me and watching them turn into property experts and pass their exams is a real achievement." 

How do you try to inspire others?  

"I try to be positive, honest and approachable all the time." 

What advice would you give other women aspiring to enter the property industry?  

"Don't wait, do it."
